Learning from our Search and from the Hospitality Conference

June 3, 2011

This Sunday, one of our Ministerial Search Committee members, Preston Mears, will be doing a sermon about who we are based on our congregational survey taken for our ministerial search and other things the search committee has learned about who we are as a Unitarian Universalist congregation in Camp Springs, Maryland. How do we see ourselves, how do others see us, and who do we want to be? Then, for those who would like to hear more and possibly ask questions, we will have a presentation following the service with the search committee presenting more details about what we learned from ministerial candidates and ways in which we can improve our beloved community.

Four of our members attended the Hospitality Conference two weeks ago and learned a lot which they’ll share in their work. Joyce Dowling blogged about it and gives links to videos that you can get to from her blog post entitled, Sawu bona (“I see you”), Sikhona (“I am here”) – I don’t “exist” until I’m recognized.
